Meet Your Designer
My personal mission and passion is to assist in transforming your environment into a place of peace, uniqueness, and pride....a place where you can feel good about yourself and the objects that tell your story.
I have been creating unique environments for over 30 years, establishing Neica Raker Interiors, Ltd. in 1998, after working as a designer for many years at The Furniture House/Design Center in Newark, Ohio with my mentor, David Robinson. When Mr. Robinson retired and sold the business, I decided to venture out on my own. My work has been focused predominately in Ohio, and I have also enjoyed working with clients in Michigan, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Florida, Oregon, North Carolina, and Massachusetts.
My approach is one of openness and ease. My goal is to save you time, money, and stress during the design process. Clients have often expressed that they were intimidated to make the call to a designer but were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they felt upon our initial meeting.
It is my job to not imprint my style onto you, however, to uncover your style and elevate it to the very best.
I specialize in developing custom paint palettes, granting my clients confidence that the paint colors will be right the first time.
I'm a graduate of Ohio University and was certified from The Interior Design Institute in 1993. I maintain active membership in ASID (American Society of Interior Design). My work has been featured in Country Living, Housetrends, The Ballantrae Banner, The Granville Sentinel, The Columbus Dispatch, The Newark Advocate, and Country Casual Teak magazine. I enjoyed being the author of "Design Time with Neica" in Our Town newspaper when in print.
